Airedale Close, Long Eaton – the client required a structural engineer for a foundation design. Simplify Engineering provided structural calculations and drawings for the raft foundation.

Old Manor Close, Woodborough – a residential property owner had architectural plans and required structural calculations for their internal alterations. A site visit was arranged to confirm dimensions and floor joist directions. We provided structural calculations and drawing mark-ups suitable for Building Control Authorities approval.

Grange Road, Woodthorpe – a residential property owner had architectural plans and required a structural engineer to assist with his project. The scope included sizing RSJs and a timber roof for the rear extension and a steel beam for ground floor chimney removal.

Brooksland Road, Nottingham– a residential property owner had architectural plans and required structural calculations for their internal alterations. A site visit was arranged to confirm dimensions and floor joist directions.

Middlebrook Road, Bagthorpe – a residential property owner had architectural plans and required structural calculations for a chimney removal on the ground floor. We provided 2 options: (i) A steel beam with a partial plate to support the chimney stack above and (ii) removal of the chimney completely, repair of the roof and ceiling, and installation of collar ties on every other rafter.

Kings Avenue, Gedling – a residential property owner had architectural plans and required structural calculations for a loft conversion. A virtual inspection was arranged to confirm dimensions and floor joist directions.

67 Wilmot Street, Long Eaton – a client required a structural report as they had concerns regarding external wall cracks and suspected subsidence. Based on our site inspection, we found uneven flooring which could be levelled with a self-levelling compound. We also found cracks that could be repaired using helical bars.

Salcombe Crescent, Ruddington – a client required a structural report as they had concerns regarding external wall cracks and suspected subsidence. Based on our site inspection and review by our Chartered Engineer, the masonry at the front of the property required monitoring to ensure that active movement was not present.

St Andrews Road, Mapperley Park – a client required a structural report as they had concerns about the structural condition of the building. During our inspection, multiple-sized cracks and defective brickwork was observed. The client also required structural advice regarding future extensions and alterations.

Church Lane, Cotgrove – a client required a structural report for their cottage which was over 350 years old. During our inspection, we observed that the structural timber had rotted. Also, the first-floor lime-ash construction showed significant sloping and cracking.
